Daylight Saving Time Ends

October 31, 2009 by Pam Salls

On November 1, 2009 at 2 a.m., set your clocks back an hour.  That means you could end up with an extra hour of sleep Sunday.  If you think that it seems a little later this year, you’re correct. A few years ago lawmakers voted to extend the period of time that the country observes the clock-shift. The United States Congress extended Daylight Saving Time as part of the Energy Policy Act.  Clocks are to be set ahead one hour on the second Sunday of March instead of on the first Sunday of April and clocks were set back one hour on the first Sunday in November, rather than on the last Sunday of October.
