Experience Roswell’s NINE Restaurant

June 26, 2009 by Pam Salls

If you like quaint European sidewalk cafes, cozy atmosphere and good food, Roswell’s NINE Restaurant is where you want to be!

Small and quaint, reservations are generally required.  The ambiance is Old World with its century-old brick walls, pine beams and wrought iron accents.  Dine either outside on the small street front patio or inside by candlelight.  The menu is rather extensive, sure to please just about anyone.  The pastas are out of this world and the Crab Cakes are a definite ‘must have’.  For lunch, I’d recommend the yummy Baked Salmon Sandwich or the 946 Salad; both are tasty and very filling.

Roswell’s Diesel Pizza is a Hit

October 22, 2008 by Pam Salls

One of the newest restaurants in Historic Roswell is Diesel.  Having had their grand opening on the evening of September’s Alive After Five, Diesel is already a Roswell favorite.  The restaurant is located on the corner of Alpharetta and Norcross Streets, in Historic Roswell right next to the Roswell Fire Station.   Diesel occupies a former gas station owned in the 1930’s by Jim Wright.  A long-time Roswell resident, Mr. Wright also owned Wright’s Chevrolet dealership, which was sold to the City of Roswell in 1980 and now houses the Roswell Fire Station.

The Historic Roswell Streets were Alive After 5!

October 17, 2008 by Pam Salls

Last night was the final night in 2008 for Historic Roswell’s popular Alive After 5 Street festival.  The weather was perfect and there was a huge showing of Roswell locals.  The Alive After 5 concept is dubbed as an ‘after work get together’.   The event takes place every third Thursday from April through October.  Historic Canton Street in beautiful Historic Roswell is bustling with street vendors with specials for the evening, live entertainment at strategic trolley stop locations, non-profit organizations are set up to inform and educate and all the merchants along the street stay open until 9:00.  This month’s entertainment included music from Audio Cage, Backtrax and the Dennis Fermin Project, not to mention all the various groups hired by individual restaurants.  What a great opportunity to relax and catch up with friends and Roswell neighbors as all the patios of the local restaurants are lit up and ready to serve you your favorite meal.
